Video Volunteers community correspondent Gayatri Devi reports from Uttar Pradesh's Ambedkar Nagar district where one of the villages residents were not receiving their quota of free monthly ration.

The Union government has announced that every ration cardholder will get free ration until late this year. However, Sultanpur village's local ration dealer was not cooperating and wasn't distributing ration to the villagers.

On Gayatri's initiative, the villagers decided to complain first to the panchayat and later to the local Sub-Divisional Magistrate.

As a result, the ration dealer's license was cancelled and a new ration dealer was appointed. Now the delivery of ration has resumed for Ambedkar Nagar villagers and they are happy.
